{GNO}

{Girl's Night Out} is a difficult thing for me; I'm at work all day, then I ask my husband if I can leave for a few hours after I get home...but every once in a while a girl needs a break.

Lucky me, I got two breaks this week.

Wednesday I met with some sweet ward friends for an hour...I learned how to make those fantastic headbands/bows that are ever popular...and super easy and fun to make.  Can't wait to make some for myself soon!

Some time today I got a wild hair to get together with a great sewing friend...and we ended up with some fantastic company!  

Lisa, Alisha, Rachel and I met at Craigo's in Rexburg, since it was a central location to the four of us, and after eating ourselves silly with pizza and dessert, we continued to chat it up while the employees were sweeping around us.  At closing time, the awesome waitress brought us a huge bowl of vanilla bean ice cream, on the house.  She thought we were hilarious with our big bellies!!!  And 'so cute' to come out to dinner together. 

Alisha and I know each other from being in the same ward when we each had our first baby.  She was the R.S. Secretary at the time, and I always thought she was so sweet (she still is) and am glad she was able to join us!  We are due the same day, but she's getting a little girl, after three boys (so there is hope!).

Lisa and I had numerous sewing classes together in college, and have stayed in touch over the years.  Between midnight pattern alterations and lunch time tips, we've helped each other through quite a few projects!  She is due the 15th of June, I believe...with a sister for her two daughters and son.

I, of course, was just glad to get out of the house...and had such a great time visiting with these friends.  I was so full from all the good food, it took me a good hour to fall asleep once I got home!

Rachel had Violet just two months ago, and has three daughters she left home for her hubby to put to bed.  She was the R.S. President of our student ward (which all four of us were in together) when I had Tanner.  I am super excited for her to teach me how to redo my husband's grandma's sewing table with some fresh color and paint!

It's funny how we haven't seen each other very often, yet I feel like I see them all the time (from reading their blog, seeing status updates on facebook, etc.)...I think we should get together more often girls!!!
