"Give," said the Little Stream {giveaway!!! you really want to read the whole post!}

Every Sunday morning, as my sisters and I would be curling each other's hair and zipping up each other's dresses, spiritual, reverent, and beautiful music could be heard throughout our home. Often times it was hymns sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, or the inspiring music of Jon Schmit, Paul Cardell, Kenneth Cope, & Jenny Oaks Baker.

One of our favorite musicians is Jenny Phillips.
The CD "Steadfast and Immovable"  is at the TOP of our list.

Jenny Phillips (and her crew) contacted me and said they'd give me
TWO EXTRA
2011 Primary Theme CD's:
{I know the Scriptures are True}
to give away!
So, I thought this would be a great way to 'give' like the Little Stream suggests.

The track list includes:
1. If I Listen with My Heart
2. I Will Follow God’s Plan
3. Stand for the Right
4. Praise to the Man
5. I Love to See The Temple
6. The Lord Gave Me a Temple
7. Search, Ponder, and Pray

I am so excited to be able to offer these to YOU!  Jenny is an amazing artist, who portray's our Savior's Love for us through heart-warming and reverent music on all of her CD's.

These quiet and uplifting songs are great for soft listening, bedtime, for quiet time, or to sing along with (so your little ones, and maybe even you!) can learn the words for a wonderful Sacrament Meeting program in the fall. There's even a Children's Choir so your little ones don't feel like it's a grown-up CD.

Check out Jenny Phillips' facebook page HERE to see how you can get ONE or TWO CD's, but if you'd like even more (like one for your kids, one for you, one for the car, or to give away), you're welcome to enter this giveaway!  (It's super easy to enter HER giveaway, by-the-way!)

***You will have TWO chances to win.***
Let me outline a few rules.

{FIRST ENTRY}  Leave me a comment.  In it, tell me what your favorite Jenny Phillips song is. If you have COMPLETELY MISSED OUT and never had a chance to hear this beautiful artist, check out her website HERE, where you can listen to some of her music (and even buy it!) and 'find' a favorite.  Come back here to leave your comment about your favorite Jenny Phillips song.

{SECOND ENTRY}  For an additional entry, tell me what your favorite Primary song is (or gospel-related song if you're not familiar with the Children's Songbook) and WHY it's your favorite.

Giveaway will close at midnight
on Wednesday, January 19th.
***That's the day my little sister reports to the Missionary Training Center in Provo!***

I will randomly pick TWO winners
and each of you will receive one of Jenny's
{2011 Primary Theme:
I Know the Scriptures are True} CD.

Be sure to leave your name and email address in your comment so I can get a hold of you.

Good luck!  And happy listening!!!

My favorite Jenny Phillips song is actually one of my all-TIME favorite songs: Live Like You Believe. LOVE that song. <3 Makes me tear up EVERY time I hear it.

My favorite Primary song is "Love is Spoken Here." I was really sad that they sang it for the program the year I was released from Primary Chorister.
I remember singing it for a stake conference when I was REALLY young and feeling the Spirit SO strongly. It's one that I also love to sing with my mom. Just a beautiful song.

Do I really have to name a favorite or does it just count to say that I have listened to her and really enjoy her music?

As for my favorite primary song....well that is a real tough one, but I think I would have to say Armies of Helaman.

when I was younger I LOVED a lot of the songs. some that stuck with me were hum your favorite hymn (if you dont know it listen to it.) It makes a really good piont that even we as adults should follow.
A lot of the songs fromt he chidren's song book are like that and I love it. Child Prayer even. It helps adults know that yes Heavenly Father hears our prayrs and answer them.
LOVE the Nativity Song too.
About 5 yrs ago one of the songs for the program was the Hymn Dearest Children, God Is Near You. At the time I had a baby. She was a fussy baby with reflux and everytime we'd sing that song during primaryshe'd calm down and look around th room. She was probably 5/6 months old. That became a very special song to us and I sang it to her when she got fussy and she'd calm down. It's still a pretty special song to me even if she doesn't remember it.

Okay, so I think i like "daughter of a king".
I've heard that one many times, and I always like it. But I'm so bad with artists, I just enjoy the music without actually putting a name to it. So, thanks for that! :)

Favorite Primary Song is "I Am a Child of God". My grandmother knew the lyrics author. It has always been my most favorite. Always.

My favorite primary song has been "A Child's Prayer" for most of my life. I am not sure why but it just speaks to me. Maybe it is because it is both sides of the conversation where most of the time the only audible side of the conversation is ours to Heavenly Father. Thank you for this giveaway, if I find out that I do indeed get a free c.d. myself then I will make sure to let you know.

Hey Deanna! Your blog is so great! this is exciting a free CD, and not only one winner, but two!! Ok, so I looove Jenny Phillips. I have even been to her concert firesides. Amazing. Her music helped me so much in my teens. I would say "Every Breathe" and a song about Clay in the masters hands. My fave primary song is "I know my Heavenly Father Loves Me" because it goes through all of our wonderful senses and how vivid this life is...the smell of a rose, the rain on my face, the magical sound of things...I love everything about it! Maybe I just really love LIFE! -nashinabowen@hotmail.com

I love the song "Live Like you Believe". The first time I heard it was after I had reread President Eryings talk at conference of Trusting in God. And this song just reinforced the need to live our testimony and by doing that our faith and trust in God will grow . . . anyways I love that song.

My favorite primary song? So hard to choose especially after being a Primary Chorister. But one that I treasure is "I Wonder When He Comes Again". My father sang it to me as a child to get me to sleep and now I sing it with my boys.

I'm not going to beg you to PICK ME but if you do PICK someone, ME . .I mean I am sure that they will love it.

I love "Daughter of a King" by Jenny Phillips i feel really special when I hear it :)

My favourite Childrens song or one out of the top 10 is "I know that my Saviour loves me" I learned this as I am on Stake Primary and renewed my love for the Primary songs. the line "I did not touch him or sit on his knee yet Jesus is real to me" Really hits home to me, we dont have to see him right now to know he loves us because we FEEL it daily. I am thankful for the reminder of this song to remember his love for us.

I'm sure I have heard her music before, but my mind is drawing a blank on a favorite song! Did she do a CD about pioneers? If so, I love every song on that one! I hope I win! :)

I didn't grow up in the church, so I don't know very many primary songs, but one that I sing (terribly, might I add) to my kids every time we drive into Rexburg is "I love to see the temple". My kids favorites, however, are "the popcorn song" and "the snowman song"... very spiritual, I know. :)
