The past week was a bit involved for this little guy...
After three days of 101* fevers, that I thought were from teething, I finally decided to take Kortlen in. It may or may not have had to do with the fact that it just wasn't right that his body, specifically his arms and legs, would have bouts of 'flinching'. After observing him to see if it was from loud noises, and such, I determined (after picturing all the worst-case-scenarios) he was having some sort of seizures.
I was able to get him right in, and after visiting with our pediatrician (who is also our wonderful Bishop), concluded that he was having Myloclonic Seizures. Very common in children, and I shouldn't be concerned unless they last for more than 5 minutes. (which is an Eternity, and I'm very fortunate we didn't experience anything over a few seconds.) After a good dose of Tylenol, his fever subsided, and so did the 'flinching'. Weird. I'm just so thankful that he's doing better.
And he's been pretty healthy ever since. Still a little congested, from the cold (that started the fever that started the seizures), but other than that, he's good!
He's holding steady at around 18 lbs, which he's held for the last three months. He's our chubby-wubby, but evening out.
Kortlen is a pro at getting around by rolling, and he's got it figured out. Between being a rolly-polly baby, and being proficient in turning 360* on his stomach, he pretty much gets where he needs to go.
He LOVES sweet potatoes and corn. At the bottom of the list are bananas and peas. Not mixed, just separate.
Yesterday I noticed he is doing girlie push-ups, getting stronger and preparing for a full-on "all-fours" match with his brothers.
I've been quite content with the older two boys running and playing and wrestling, but am a little aprehensive about Kortlen wanting to join in so soon.

Wow scary glad to hear he is feeling better. And those beautiful blue eyes, what a cutie!! Looks like you guys had a great Valentines day. Love the red heels, what we don't do for the men we love=)
What a darling little bug! i love that last picture. sorry about the scare! Oh, I hate things like that. I'm glad that you got an answer and I'm sure that he'll be feeling top notch in no time. If it gets warm again today, you should call me. Maybe we could converge at the park or the river . . . I think we could all use a good dose of Vitamin D.
Ah, poor little man. So glad the seizures were nothing too serious!
Love his eyes! He's such a cutie!
His is such a cutie!! Glad to hear he is doing better. So how bad was the water in the ally. Nicolas said Alex had 2 inch in his garage. Hope nothing in your garage got wet.
He is just too cute! He has such beautiful blue eyes :)
He is so cute! I can't believe how close he and Kai look, CRAZY. I'm glad he's better. I hate when these little guys get sick, especially with a high fever. We experienced that a few weeks back, minus the seizures.
Also, I love that you’re bold enough to write, Sexy, on your blog even if your dad reads it. I have a feeling with those sassy red heels on, that you were definitely one sexy mama.
Hi, Deanna!
So glad your little sweetheart is doing better--that's so scary! Do I remember right that you guys live in I.F.? Is my brother your doctor?
Thanks so much for your sweet visit and for always saying the nicest things--you're just wonderful!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you in the giveaway!
Julie
He is so darn cute. I am glad he is feeling better. I would have freaked out with those seizures! And you better start going to bed earlier to get more rest cause I can't imagine life with 3 active boys! Eek. It's a good thing they are cute ;)
