Beautiful Day

I'm determined to make today a beautiful day.

Because it can be.
And it should be.
Because I decided; it should be so

I got sunburned yesterday.

We officially have one month's supply of food,
and a pretty good first aid kit. (make that two)

Tanner is progressing so well at swimming
...he makes me proud.

My face hurts so bad I want to lay it in an ice-water bath,
then put it back on tomorrow.

I am so saddle sore, I want to cry.

Looking into cushy bike seats.

Realizing that I would rather have a house.

Putting all my spare change, and any change I find
in the dryer or otherwise, in my
"Saving for Change" jar.
Lest you think I'm joking, I'm not.
Penny by penny.

Why do I still have acne?
Isn't that a rite of passage?
Must not have earned it.  Shucks.

I have found the BEST bread recipe...
it totally tastes like 'the real McCoy'.
It has potatoes in it.
Even Ryan will suffer to eat it.

We are totally dying with our
Summer reading program goals:
20 minutes per day/kid/5 days a week.
I'm about to quit.

Taylor and Tanner dream of being
Tom Sawyer.
But we're only on chapter 5.
Should I be worried?

My kitchen is calling me.
Wait, that's my mom.
Or maybe a prospective employer?
Nope.  Mom.
Glad to talk to her anyways!\

My dying garden is being watered today.
Maybe even flooded.
Poor, wind-whipped plants.
Please come back to me!

Today is going to be a good day.
I can feel it in my dragging feet
and aching back.

I'm determined to make Thursday worth
every second I've got.
Plus, it's Ryan's day off
so we'll be re-filling or water storage.
I've been slacking.

What an amazing picture! I sure hope the sunburn gets better. Those are the worst! That was a beautifully written post, as always.
