I am tired of cleaning my bathroom - Tanner has peed on EVERYTHING trying to get potty trained and just "MAKE ME HAPPY", but the kid just can't get it in the toilet!!!
Any pointers? I need help, and bad!
We've tried sitting, but he falls through the seat.
We've tried a smaller 'child' seat, but we can never get it in fast enough...so we have a stool (the Stool stool) he stands on it and tries to aim at a square of toilet paper...but unless I'm there to point the way, literally (he squeezes 'it' so hard nothing will come out), it's a mess!
What now??? Any tips?

what we did with parker:
we would put blue food coloring in the toilet-and when he would pee it was suppose to turn green (yellow and blue make green, right?) that worked for a while.
i've heard to put cheerios or fruit loops in the toilet for him to aim to.
but....nine times out of ten, parker still seems to get pee on the seat or on the floor. i am constantly cleaning it up.
it's good to have some clorox wipes on hand! :)
We sit. It may ruin him for life, but I figured potty training was hard enough without me always upset with him for missing the toilet.
Good luck! Find a good teaching trick so when I am in the same rut down the road a long ways... You can be giving me the advise!
<3 Love you tons
Carter sat at first, but I have heard of people having the boys sit backwards on the toilet. I guess kind of kneeling like so they don't fall in. You could try that.
You got to train him like a dog. slap him when he pees on the wall, but don't delay the slap. This is Keith by the way. hehehehe. Trish says this is bad parenting advice. Whatever works!
Thanks little bro!
ah i don't know, but i am going to need all the potty training advice i can get!! so keep me posted
Sorry, not much help here! I am with Stephanie...when you figure it out let me know so I can do the same thing when I have kids of my own! :)
Thanks again for chatting last night, Deanna. I'll keep you posted on any progress. . .
As for the potty thing, I haven't even bothered introducing "standing up" yet. He can't even keep his pants dry yet. Maybe if he keeps his pants dry, then I'll do the standing up thing.
For the dress, it does look pretty. I'd like to see the dress on. And is is for Jr. Miss? Bonneville county? I had a gal come to me to take up a shoulder seam just Monday. I sent her someone else. Me and alterations don't get along so well together. . . So, kudos to you! You go, girl! and good luck.
Have him try sitting. Tyler learned how to pee sitting down and after a year or so he switched all by himself. He just about never misses. It's great! Girls really are easier to potty train.
