You look like a monkey....

and you act like one, too!!!

Today we celebrated Taylor's 2nd birthday....I can't believe my baby is already two years old! 

Again, we just took the day easy...Because both boys were up so early (5am) and we had big plans for the afternoon, we played a little time switch on them....

Ate lunch about 10:30, because they were 'starving' anyways, and put them down for naps a bit early...so they could join  in all the festivities. 

While Ryan put Taylor down, Tanner and I did this:

We had a blast!  And the boys ate EVERY cookie after I had one and gave our neighbors a plateful.  They were more like mini boy cakes, but Tanner was in heaven.  I obviously put the icing on, and he decorated them with m&m's.  As soon as he finished, he asked to go potty and wash his hands, then informed Ryan and I that he was going in to have his nap...at 12:15.  It was so nice to have the boys down for naps that early!!! 

While they napped, I did a bit of this:

My parents picked up their birthday present in Shelley, and when they arrived, we put in the new and took out the old...Mattresses!  I know.  Sue me now.  Boring birthday presents....like they cared.  :) 

We promptly headed off to the Museum of Idaho to see the Abraham Lincoln Exhibit...I took the boys and my sister Deseret to the play room while everyone enjoyed the exhibit...and I actually enjoyed myself, too. 

Then, my sister Katelyn, my mom and I headed to Treasures...looked for a gown for Katelyn's Junior Miss Scholarship Program coming up in April...and she found THE dress, but you'll all have to wait to see pictures...we musn't give away any competing details!  :)  After two hours of that, we returned home to finish the party, and found my dad like this:

But it was all good.  Ryan opened his presents, and Taylor his, then we had to indulge in this:

**Does a certain little boy look left out?  So much so that he had to climb into his little brother's high chair?  Don't worry.  He'll have his big day next Sunday. 

I don't think I'll be making Ryan's mom's Peppermint Chocolate Angel Food Cake again...wowzers....next time we're going with something a bit more....friendly and easy. 

We had a fabulous time with my family, and I hate to say it, but I'm glad I just did a family get-together, instead of a big friend party...sorry to all you friends out there...but it was just all I could do!  (Obviously, look at Ryan's cake again....be glad you weren't invited.  :) )
