Why is it that after I do a grueling workout in which I sweat buckets and my face is a dark fuscia (how the heck do you spell that anyways?) red, that I immediately come home and stuff my face with a handful of Vanilla Wafers or cashews or a slice of toast that's hot out of the toaster lathered with butter and homemade strawberry jam?
I'm shooting myself in the foot.

And water. I drink it like crazy. You wouldn't know it though. While I love my Nalgene bottles, I'm trading them in for something with a straw. It's bad enough that I sweat through the back of my shirt, but when it's wet in the front, too, it's a little unnerving.

While Aerosmith, Rihanna, Van Halen and Red Hot Chili Peppers rock my spinning world, I found out that I really enjoyed the classics and amazing music Schmidt &Nelson's compositions provided me this morning. It was amazing...my focus was awesome. It may have helped that I bike with my glasses hanging off the neck of my shirt like a librarian, and that I couldn't see anybody staring at me and my sweatiness. Is that even a word? Probably not. Anyways, if you want a way to shut out the world while exercising, just make sure you cannot see anything. It helps immensely.
But it felt good to do my own spinning workout. Amazing actually. I think I'll make it a Friday morning tradition.
And while I'm thinking that over, I'll try to dismiss those cravings for ANY FOOD in my mouth the second I walk in the door.

hahahaha....I'm always hoping during my workout that I look all sweaty like everyone else so they can see how hard I'm working! I put my nose in my Ensign yesterday and it made those 30 minutes fly by! Let's see, my music of choice yesterday was Carole King's Greatest Hits...but that was before you were born! LOL! okay, i need ryan to switch his entire schedule, right this second, so you can be my workout partner in the morning! I've been going with another girl, but she wont spin with me, and i've got some kind of obsession right now. kidding about the schedule change, but if it ever does happen let me know! see u tomorrow!
One of the reasons why I love working out at night is that I come home and go straight to bed. If I work out in the morning, I too, come home and feel like I graze all day.
Embrace your sweat! Seriously. I'm sure I sweat more than you. No joke. I used to wring my basketball jersey out in high school. I was so embarrassed! And now, I love when I get sweaty! Picture it as your fat "crying!"

The more you sweat, the better shape you are in. When I am in marathon training, my shirt is soaked through on both sides within 10 minutes. Be proud of the sweat. Just don't flick it on anyone. :)
As for the food, um...good luck with that, and when you figure it out, let me know.
