I Got Brave

Each year, Idaho Falls hosts the Snake River Roaring Youth Jam along the green belt down town.  I think we've only been once in the 7 years we've loved here, but this year, we were needing to get out of the house.  Ryan was working, so I prepared the kids, and gave them all warnings in the car...something along the lines of "if you DARE to leave my side, we will turn right around and go home!!!".    I thought about inviting some friends to come with us, but this was a 'test run', and I didn't want the embarrassment of having to leave our friends should a child misbehave.  So I got brave, and went solo. With all 4 kids!

After lathering up with sunscreen, we parked at the bank and walked over to the festivities.

A few hours into the crazy, this little dude was ready for a nap...so we turned our single stroller into a double.  Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this.  LOL!

We had a LOT of fun...and spent a whopping FOUR HOURS walking from booth to booth, playing instruments, painting, crafting, and learning more about the Arts in our area!  I didn't even lose a child to the river as we sat on its banks to eat our picnic lunch!

I'm so glad I was brave, and especially grateful for AMAZING children, and OBEDIENT children!!!
