C'mon. Be honest.

Okay. So I think I'm having a mid-life crisis. I'm getting a wild hair - going out on a limb - and seriously thinking of CHOPPING my hair. I'm sick of it!!! Done with it!!! and ready for something new. This is now. It's my fall-back style. I'm comfortable (and homely) in my long-ish (it's been longer and shorter) hair style. And Ryan's tired of dishing out $$ for gel, hairspray, etc, etc, etc. (I'm tired of it too. Change is good, right?)

So, the Polls are now open, comment if you'd like, and please don't tell me to leave it as it is...I need a change and want a change (unless you really think I should leave it or reconsider my options).

Option A: SHORT BOB - I'd have to blow out my hair, and even then, I'm not sure I could pull it off after the cut...Lets just say I still have the baby weight on my face.

Option B: SHAGGY - I think I'll still have to blow out the hair a bit - maybe not. This age thing is really loosening my curls, so this is a real possibility.

Option C: ???? I know this is a wig, and if this doesn't go how I want, I just might buy it...with my new good looks. But really, this style - think I can do it?

Option D: SHORT - I told a stylist this once, and I came out looking like this....all on the sides and back. HUMMM...I don't know if this is what it'll end up as....(this isn't me) but I think my hair would react similarly when cut short. Straight in front and side, and curly everywhere else.
What do you all think? My goal: something new, chic, and non-mommy (really I'm hoping for less hassle because I'm a mom - SOOOO tired of pony tails and the little twist-it thing where my bangs were - my hair naturally twists like that, I've been doing it so long!!!

I agree. Something new is nice. However short and it might turn out like the picture with it all in the back and stuff. Kinda like Deseret's I have no idea, but if it makes you feel better, and this is the truth, you always look great!

Lov ya tons!

Okay this is an opinion. I think A is WAY too short for you, and it probably wouldn't lay straight like that since your hair is curly. B isn't too bad, but again who knows if your hair will straighten like that. C reminds me of someone MUCH older than you! D looks good. Definately try a different stylist if you go with it again. I mean the stylist didn't give you the same cut at all! Could you do a short bob but keep your hair curly? I mean shorter than D. I hate these crisses. I go through them often and my hair ends up way short which isn't what I want! I want it to grow out. Uhhhh....sorry about the long blog. I got tangenty :0

Okay - I really like them all - but I like the bottom one most. It just looks soft and like you wouldn't have quite so much work. BUT I would definitely go with a different stylist. A good stylist should be able to work with your hair to get it right - not do the same old cut and hope that your hair is going to conform. I have only found one place in all of idaho falls that can do this. I would DEFINITELY call the "Defining Line". It's down on A street and they are FABULOUS! I REALLY cannot emphasize enough what a GREAT job they do! You will LOVE IT! I think a cut is about $30 or so and it is REALLY worth it! All the gals there are really great - but i'd suggest trying to get Marci. She was actually in our rexburg ward - but probably moved right before moved in. Anyway, she does a GREAT job with curly-ish, thick hair. I'd try to get in with her or with Andrea (I think that's her name - she's the owner). Marci recently had a baby, so she may only be working weekends, but I've NEVER had anyone do a better job on my hair. I would trust her completely and recommend her to EVERY PERSON ON THE PLANET! -

Okay, how was that little sales-pitch!? :) LOL! I'm really just trying to be helpful. They do a GREAT job there! Good luck and keep us updated!

I like The shaggy, and the wig style. And I, too, would agree with Rachel. Defining Line. The owner's name is Amy, she's great. And a wash, scalp massage, cut and style is $34.00 But they ARE awesome. But Amy is pregnant and I think she'd due in like 3-4 weeks. Marci is awesome. Really, you can't go wrong no matter which stylist you get. Good luck!

Wow, great options. I have been thinking about a change myself...I really like the bottom style...above the cute photo of you. I have always thought you had great hair. I am sure it would look great any way. I think that the last option would definitely be the most carefree and easy. It looks like a great scrunch and go hairdo. Make sure and post a before and after!

I personaly like option B. If you feel ready to cut your hair, just go for it. I had mine long for a long time too and cut it short about four years ago. I have been able to have all sorts of short haircuts since then. I have even gone boy cut short a few times. It really does grow back. You will enjoy the ease of shorter hair. I am impressed that you have made it with long hair as long as you have.

I'm going to go with the last one, also because your hair is curly and I think it would be the most practical for you as a mommy...
Also, thanks for letting me cry hysterically on your shoulder (or ear), just wanted to let you know we made our decision not to go forward with it, so we'll see what happens...

I vote D. I think you could pull it off and if you decided that you didn't like it, you could go for one of the others.

Whatever you do, I think you should definitly leave it curly still. Blow drying straight doesn't sound like "less hassle" to me. But I think they are all cute. If I had to vote, I'd go with the bottom one; it looks very fun for summer.

Sorry to tell you this...but Ryan's always gonna have to dish out for spray and gel....that's not gonna change, even with a new cut! LOL! You'll look darling in anything you choose!

Hi Sweetie - I like the longer straight cut. You'd have to use the flat iron to get it straight though. But, with the longer cut you can play around and if you want it shorter you can always cut it again. My hair drives me NUTS. If I looked cute bald I'd have my hairdresser shave my head!!
