ta da!


My mom taught me that the back of a project should always look as neat and intriging as the front...so here's a bottom shot. :)

The wires are for braces - anybody remember the chairs at the Keetley House? Yeah. And I LOVE that the wire is galvanized and crisp and clean...kinda adds a modern element, in an old-age technique.

Also, I am pretty proud of myself for covering the bottom with muslin...though I wish it were a different 'coverage' shape...oh well...it's what I had to cover those raw edges!


I can hardly wait for this fun photo shoot...and more to come!

I love the finished version! You knew right where to put the black stress marks. What a cool chair! Oh, and I absolutely love the poem and your add ons a few posts ago.

You made me smile with your comment about "the back looking as good as the front" My Mom and Grandma Crandall always told me the same thing. We were raised by amazing talented women. Lucky us!! The chair is awesome,congrats!
