...was embarrassingly purple after a spinning class this morning. I didn't realize HOW purple, till I got in my car after picking up Kortlen and had a moment at a red light to glance in the mirror. Even after I got home, showered, and got dressed and ready for the day, it was still purple...with a hint of red.
I've discovered that I dislike running...love(d) swimming, but it's tricky without contacts as the wall always sneaks up on me (Doing the 'glasses' thing right now)...and absolutely LOVE biking. We've biked a lot this summer. So I figured a spinning class during Taylor's preschool and Tanner's Kindergarten would be just right...and it was...grueling.
It was intense.
You've heard the term "sweating buckets"? Yeah. The floor beneath my bike was soaked.
Ewwwwwwe.
Loved it.
And a lady in my class with a prosthetic leg was super inspiring....can't wait to get back to earn another purple face. And burn more calories. And feel like I'm going to die. LOL!
Bring. It. On.

Good for you! Seriously! And, if it makes you feel any better---I sweat gallon buckets, and my face either either two colors, pale or bright red. {I'm not sure why!}
Keep it up! And be proud of your sweat. {I always am!}
Good for you. I always walk by the spinning classes and think they look so fun. But I've never dared enter. So good for you!
Hooray for purple face! Spinning classes are so dang hard, but so awesome. Go you!
You go!! That it awesome!! I have also always wanted do something like that, but am afraid I would fall off the bike from exhaustion!
Keep it up, Deanna! You're awesome!! :)
I'm not a great biker, but I love spin classes. It's just enough fun/energy to get me through a whole hour of hard exercise. I need to figure out a way to work one into all my carpooling schedule.
Hey, D! I've also been abandoning blogging lately. I'm with you on the whole couponing, blogging, and EVERYTHING else that can suck you into the computer for hours. It's all a little much. I'm so happy to see that you've been busy canning. I wish I had you in my kitchen with me to step me through it...because I know you're the pro! I'm doing peaches this week. And way to go on the biking. I get super red faces, too. Oh, and hooray for school! You're going to love Kindergarten. I know I did! It was just what Tyler needed.
Where do you go to do spinning? I want to-slash-don't want to try it ahahah
