Finished!

There's nothin' better than foamy jam fresh from the night before, slathered on a hot piece of toast which was promptly frosted with real butter! YUMMY!

I'm finished with my peaches!!! Finally! I'm done making jam for the season...I hope! Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed doing it (mostly), but I'm ready to reclaim my kitchen. My shelves are full, and our tummys will be, too, come the cold weather!

Some of you commented that I should have called the cops - I should have. Ryan said I should have, too. (he was busy trying to sleep - who wants to get out of bed if you're half asleep?) :) I guess I just wimp out when it's past midnight, they're drunk, and probably wouldn't hear me over their music anyways. I picture myself actually calling authorities that could take care of the problem and the 'officials' thinking, "Why doesn't she just get off her lazy butt and tell them to turn down the music!" Anyways, Thanks for listening for me complain, even though I really didn't have any room to. On a side note, it was kinda fun to sit on my couch in the dark and peek out between my curtins in the living room and watch them stagger around a blazing camp-fire...that was pretty funny!

Oh Deanna, i love reading your blog . . . you are so cute:) How is the extension office treating you; I'm really curious! That's more the type of stuff I'd rather do with our degree. I just don't enjoy the teaching aspect as much. Let's be honest, I didn't graduate in this major do to anything but be able to teach my children all this stuff. But maybe someday I'll be an extension agent:) ramble, ramble, ramble

Wow Deanna, I am so impressed by all you accomplished! And embarrassed to say that I do not know how to can anything! I really need to learn. I would love to be able to make a really good Jam!! I guess that should be one of my next projects! I am jealous that you are all ready done!

Way to go on the peaches! I'll be jealous come winter time when you have all that canned fruit! I keep saying I'll start doing it when we get a house, but there really isn't any reason for me not to do it now, is there!? I'm just lazy!

Yeah! Congrats on your accomplishments! I've finished my canning for a few weeks now and still have all the canning stuff on the counters. It's really starting to drive me bonkers. Part of me wants to do more, and the other part of me just wants to be done. anyway. . .

It is a good feeling to be organized. Congrats!

P.S. How's your 3 day emergency kits coming along?

Deanna, I am so jealous that you made jam....I have wanted to so bad, but I don't have time to, let alone a place to put it! How are you guys? And where are you? I think we haven't seen you forever! I forgot how crafty you are, too -- your blog is adorable! Oh, and you asked how I know Tricia -- we are in dental hygiene school together...what a funny, small world!
