Charming

I had a wonderful opportunity to take some practice pictures of a darling family. I work with Monica, and her husband is a local fire fighter. Their boys are absolutely charming. They're right up there with my own. :)

Monica needed some fun pictures to adorn her brand new house in time for their youngests' baby blessing, so I offered to get a few snapshots of their family for free if they'd be my subjects.

Here's a sampling of what were able to get...

__________

Thank You's:
  • Ryan...Thank you for allowing me your hobby. And for not selling the camera...and for your support...and for your help with the settings on this complicated piece of equipment!
  • Tanner & Taylor...thank you for sitting in your stroller and eating pop-rocks and all-day suckers for 30 minutes. You were angels.
  • Kara, my roomie from college and a fabulous photographer in Ohio...thank you for letting me use your green army trunk!!! (Here's her photo site...you should check it out for some eye candy.)
  • Monica & Sean...thank you for being my guinea pigs. I really had a fun time, and hope there's at least one picture you could use. Your family is beautiful!
  • Stevie...for teaching me how to use my resources and download my actions. You are also a wonderful friend, and SO patient when I don't know how to edit something.
__________

Mental note of what I would have done different:
  • location...or at least another one
  • time of day...forgot the alley was only in the shade in the evening
  • sitter...shoulda, woulda, coulda
  • sweat band...or at least curly hair (I was sweating like a pig going to market)
  • poses...not lame ones
  • angle...not straight on
  • props...needed Tanner's little rocking chair

Thanks again Deanna...I've got pictures from the shoot scattered all around the house. Anytime you need a guinea pig, we're game. It was fun and they turned out great!
