Precious

***Nikki - here's a preview of what will be on the CD for you...there's a gazillion...okay, maybe like 60 photos. I am hoping to get it finished up and in the mail by Friday.***

On August 29th, I invited myself to take pictures for my cousin and his new little family. Baby Cache is precious, so patient, and such a handsome little guy! Not to mention he has a handsome father and beautiful mother.

Nikki and Wesley were fabulous to work with, and we ended up staying WAY too long for them at their house, waiting for a wedding reception to begin for another cousin...

I had some grand ideas that didn't work the way I had planned...lets just say the baby makes the picture, not my composition.

__________

Mental note of what I would have done different:
  • taken actual pictures with me of what I wanted to accomplish
  • sitter...again...THANK YOU Caryn and Katelyn, for helping out and being my assistants! (Ryan was fixing my dad's and sister's computers in their house, and I used the 'sitter' as an assistant...what do ya do...)
  • Used the loved bear prop
  • purchased a bigger piece of black fabric for 'backdrop'
  • taken more pictures of Cache in his daddy's cowboy hat...worked with it a little more
  • had Wesley wear a dark color, too
  • positioned Cache better between his mama and papa in the family pictures so he didn't look like a blob
  • taken out the weeds that look like a monster ready to eat Nikki

That is exactly what I am looking for. Minus the baby of course, you will have to work with a 3 year old 8 and 11. Probably harder. You are amazing. So excited for your next trip to springville. As you can see on my blog I need a new camera and just general instructions on how to make it look better.

Just a suggestion, but couldn't you use your clone tool to take out the "monster weed" on the picture of them at the barn? It shouldn't be too difficult...By the way, these pictures look great!!! Your subjects are lucky to have you doing it for them!

I probably will before sending Nikki the final 'draft' of her pics. :)

I actually totally love the weed, love the basket pics, love the boots, and LOVE the trunk in the family pics!!! And no worries about the blue spot, it was probably already there and if not you just helped me rustic it up a bit!

All of your pictures turned out awesome! I wish you lived closer so I could harass you into taking our pictures. I have yet to have any of Evan and it has been almost a year since Anna's were done. I know. I am a horrible mom.
