After dinner, we went to CAL Ranch. Thanks for the suggestion, dad.
We wandered for a few minutes until we finally found what we were looking for:
All they wanted to do was to hold the peepers. I'll admit: if there hadn't been another family standing right there and a store employee changing out water, I probably would have sneeked a little finger inside the trough to pet a little peeper...they looked so soft and cuddly!
And seriously, the sign said, and I quote:
"Please don't touch the peepers.
No refunds or exchanges on purchased peepers."
They also had baby duckies, which were just as cute.
Then we found these:
Now Tanner and Taylor want a pet. *sigh* Thankfully having pets (inside or out) is not allowed in our contract, or I would have loaded up a handful of those peepers and a bunny or two.

Oh, GOODNESS!!! Those peepers are just DARLING! I think I may be making a trip with the boys to Cal-Ranch. ;)
What a good idea! I never would have thought of doing that. My boys would love it as well!
How fun for your little kidlets. Oh my heck, those little animals are so cute!!!!
What a long day for you!! But what a fun idea! I am going to take my kids there tonight!!
Oh, I just want to hold one right now. Those things are adorable! Hopefully you all got the break you needed.
I ♥ our Dad! He is so wonderful! I also ♥ you and your boys! Hmm! I love baby animals... then they all grow up~ ;)
Peepers are cute until they get a couple months old. My mom hatches chickens every year. Ducks are fun and they stay kind of cute. If they didn't have to stay under a heat lamp to stay warm, I'd take a couple from my mom and come visit so they could hold them.
