A Piddle-De-De Post...not for the faint of Heart!

After our long day of working through toilet issues - read post below - we have exciting news! I'm probably cursing myself by spreading this exciting news, but Tanner used his potty today!!! I've been wishy-washy as to if I want him to use the regular toilet, or to get him a potty chair, his size. I settled on a potty chair, and boy am I glad I did!

I have the cutest footage of him talking to me while I'm getting him to sit for longer than 3 seconds, but it's bigger than 100MB soooo you're all out of luck!

However, you're lucky to view this... =}

Here's the proof of the piddle in the pot...He is so excited! I have a load of piddle pants to wash, so ta for now!

Deanna, Good luck with the Potty Training. The one thing that I remember worked for Parker that really helped him get it was a Video that I got from my sister-in-law. He loved it and we were all potty trained after two weeks of trying it was fabulous. So if tanner likes videos I would try that. Anyways tell me how it goes and what you did, I will be potty training Hannah soon and need all the advice I can get!!

Good work Tanner! Probably a good thing to have him use the little potty with his "flushing" issues. :) Best of luck.

Yea, Deanna! And the video WAS cute! He is the cutest, and he's got the sweetest little smile. We all had a great day this morning. Glad you came to visit.

I'm curious, rachel lassen, what video helped? I'm thinking about starting to train MY 2-year-old boy.

Glad to hear that the training is going so well! Did you find the underpants at K-Mart? Hopefully they were the ones you were thinking of.

Yes - i did find them - after looking for like 15 minutes!!! I didn't realize they were in the BABY stuff - next to the underpants. After washing them, the padded part isn't as thick as I remembered our super-soakers being, but they'll work! THank you so much!!! They even had the mattress protectors there. YEAH!

Hurray for potty training. I feel like it has been one long battle with Carson. He's been in underwear for a while now but still has the occasional accident. I think having Jeff leave for part of the week has set him back. Good luck with it! We also started out with the small potty. Carson still uses it when he has to poop because he is afraid of the big one.

Yeah yeah yeah! How exciting! (We have the same potty seat. I wish we would've just gotton an attachment for the big toilet, cause we never use the little seat! It is always in the way!) Parker is TERRIFIED of underwear, and won't wear them. And it's a hassel to have to put the diaper back on him every time. Oh well, at least it's been pretty easy potty training him. We were giving him cars every time he pooped, but we have since run out, and he doesn't seem to mind.

Oh, I was soooo happy when James potty trained. He did a good job! I'm so glad he hasn't discovered grab & flush yet :) Although we have had a whole roll of toilet paper unraveled in the toilet before :( Good luck with the potty training!
